Happy Monday! I have to start this post by talking about the impending snow storm we are expected to get on the east coast. It’s all everyone is talking about! You should have seen the grocery store yesterday! haha! People always go crazy here when snow is in the forecast. Anyway, I’m SO glad I got one big photo shoot in last week, on the last warm day. The only downfall was the hurricane-like winds. 😉 Besides the wind, it felt like spring, and I loved it. But it went from mid-60’s to 30 degrees overnight, and now it’s like winter has started all over again. So I busted out the over-the-knee boots again yesterday, but I’m not overly thrilled about it. I was really started to enjoy the little faux spring we were having.
I’m all about spring clothes right now, but I couldn’t pass up this slouchy white sweater. It’s perfect to transition into spring with peep toe booties! It’s a true white (not winter white or ivory), and that makes me love it even more. Here’s the only problem…every single time I wear white, I end up staining it. Ask my husband. It’s like I’m a magnet for stains! Literally the first time I wore this sweater, we got fried chicken after church, and I ordered mashed potatoes with GRAVY. I should have worn a bib, because I swear I made a bigger mess than my toddler. In the middle of eating my mashed potatoes, DRIP went my gravy right onto the sleeve of my sweater. I was so bummed. It’s every. single. time. I need to get one of those stain stick things to carry in my purse. Luckily, we had baby wipes in the car, which got most of the stain out. Needless to say, the sweater is gorgeous. I’m considering buying a back up, that’s how much I love it. (And with my track record, I’ll wear it two more times, and it’ll be ruined!) I love the slouchy fit. It has a ballet neckline that can either be worn on or off the shoulder (I’ve worn it both ways). I tried on the size small, thinking I’d want it to be oversized, but it already is. So I went with my normal XS.
Wish me luck people. The blizzard is supposed to start tonight, so chances are, I might be stuck in the house with a 3-yr-old all day tomorrow. Please pray for me. 😉
Thanks for reading! Have a great day!
