Well, Impressions Online Boutique did it again. How amazing is this floral summer kimono?! I also have to mention that those flowers just happen to be peonies (my favorite flower ever). This is my very first kimono, and I’m not sure what took me so long, because I’m loving it! It’s super light weight and comfortable, even in the summer heat. I dressed it up for this blog post, but my favorite way to wear it is with flat sandals (for more of an every day look). Plus, do I really need an excuse to wear pink peonies on my clothes? Um…nope.
I don’t talk about fitness on here much, mostly because I’m not a huge fan of exercise. haha! About 10 years ago, Chris bought me a Pilates reformer for my birthday. (Don’t worry, it wasn’t his idea. I asked for one!) Prior to that, I was going to a gym, but didn’t love the whole gym atmosphere. I’ve been doing Pilates about 3 times/week for the past 10 years. I do a 30 minute routine and it’s basically always the same (creature of habit). I even did it (somewhat modified) throughout my entire pregnancy. The reason I’m bringing this up, is because over the past 6 months, I have totally dropped the ball on exercise. Switching from night shift to day shift, I feel like I don’t have nearly as much time as I used to for working out. Luckily, I have a fast metabolism and I’m naturally petite, but I still can tell a HUGE difference physically. Over the past week, I’ve decided I need to get my butt in gear. I’m contemplating getting a membership at the local gym, but something is holding me back. I think I’m going to try to get back on my Pilates routine again, because normally I see quick results with that. It’s extremely toning, and lengthens the muscles like no other! If I’m not feeling motivated enough to work out at home, then I’ll take the next step and join the gym. I’m mostly hesitant to join the gym, because that’s one less pair of shoes I can buy each month! Joking! 😉 (Well, not really.) #priorities I’ll keep you posted on my progress!
Thanks so much for supporting my blog just by stopping by!
