Can we talk about how much I love jackets? It’s just another thing I love about fall. I have a few faux-leather ones that are my favorites, but this khaki ruffle jacket was just too cute when I spotted it in J.Crew. (#ruffleobsessed.) The fit is a little roomy, so I went down a size. It’s getting limited in sizes, so I’m also linking a few other fall jackets I’m loving at the end of this post.
Saturday was Johannes’ 4th birthday party, and he had so much fun! We had a two-hour time slot at the pumpkin patch, and it went by SO fast. What a buzz-kill. Does anyone else feel that way? You spend all this money and time planning something, and then it’s over in a blink, and you’re like “what even just happened”? I compare it to the yucky feeling I had on the last day of our honeymoon. I spent a year planning our wedding (and looking forward to it), then when it was over, I just felt sad. Obviously I was happy to be married, but just sad that the moment was over. Does that make sense? Anyway, Johannes’ party went by so fast, that I barely even got any pictures! (It didn’t help that he was running all over the place with his cousins, and I didn’t feel like chasing him.) The one picture I do have of him, he is so dirty and sweaty he legit looks homeless, so I didn’t share that one on Instastories. 😉 It’s hard to remember a world before Instagram, Facebook, and digital photos. Sometimes I feel like if I don’t have a pic of it, it didn’t actually happen. I guess the moral of the story is that living in the moment is all about making memories, even if they are all that we have to remember it by.
Sharing a few more jackets (most under $100) that I’m loving below. Thanks for stopping by!
